Service Projects

ADOPT A TRAIL

Pack 1194 has adopted Doves Landing Park as an additional service project for the pack via the Prince William County Adopt a Trail program.

Pack expectation  is that a Den or the entire Pack will walk the trails at least two  times in a calendar year,  once in the spring and once in the  fall.   During the walk, the work would include removing litter, clearing the trail of leaves, and trimming any  small branches overhanging the trail. After the walk, a short report  would need to be submitted to the Adopt a Trail Program.

FOOD DRIVE

Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first  weekend, Cubs and Scouts distribute notices to let their neighbors know  about the drive. On the second weekend, Scouts revisit those houses to  pick up bags full of non-perishable food items (canned food, cereal,  pasta, peanut butter, juice, etc.).
